Fire Damaged Booster

A mains water booster set involved in a fire on a residential & holiday park.

This was a mid-week, peak season, out of hours call to a site we had no dealings with previously. The customer could not get hold of their provider for assistance.
A serious fire in an adjacent building to the booster caused considerable damage to the booster set and controls. Thankfully no-one was injured in the fire. Firefighters managed to stop the blaze before it destroyed the pumps but the smoke and heat damage was excessive. We were amazed to see that alot of the plastic components, including the pipework, hadn't melted and some of the timber housing had remained intact. The break tanks were far enough away to be unscathed.
As seen in the first picture, the set was not in the best condition, even before the fire.
Our engineers managed to restore the water supply to the park temporarily utilising our own spares and the remaining serviceable equipment on site.
Gemtech quickly arranged for a replacement set and installed it with little added disruption to the client.
